After a buy-out, he decided to help children that cannot afford to do sports.
When Jordy Kool, former CEO of Infotheek, discovered that 400.000 children in The Netherlands cannot practice sports for financial reasons, he decided to use the money from a buy-out to help those children participate in sports again.
He founded IT4Kids, that collects used and written-off hardware from companies, refurbishes it and resells it. The value of this used hardware is donated to a network of charities working for children’s health. Kool credits his MBA at Rotterdam School of Management as the catalyst for initiating his awareness of his responsibility both as a leader in business and as a human being.
"At RSM you learn that your responsibility goes beyond your company. It is woven into the curriculum, learning journey and dynamic interchanges that characterise the experience."
